The Redcat Ascent-32 V2 is a compact 1/32 scale 4WD rock crawler designed for convenient crawling adventures almost anywhere. This Red version combines classic off-road styling with a steel chassis, straight axles, 4-link suspension, oil-filled shocks, and soft compound crawler tires. The Ready-to-Run package includes the radio system, LiPo battery, and USB charger, leaving only AA transmitter batteries needed before use.
Despite its small size, the Ascent-32 V2 incorporates many features normally associated with larger crawler platforms. Full-time four-wheel drive works with straight axles, metal axle components, bearing-supported gears, and a fully ball-bearing drivetrain to provide smooth and capable performance over miniature obstacles.
A 1mm flat steel chassis provides a sturdy foundation for the vehicle. Front and rear 4-link suspension allows the axles to articulate over uneven surfaces, while aluminum-cap oil-filled coilover shocks provide controlled suspension movement.
The classic crawler-style body is hinged at the front, allowing it to tilt forward for convenient access to the battery and electronics. This eliminates traditional body clips while providing a clean exterior appearance.
Classic-style wheels are wrapped in aggressive 42mm soft compound rubber tires designed to provide traction on crawling surfaces.
An RC130 brushed motor provides power through a 2-in-1 brushed ESC and receiver. Steering is handled by a water-resistant sub-micro servo, while the included 2.4GHz radio system provides vehicle control.
A 7.4V 2S 180mAh LiPo battery and USB charger are also included with the truck.
