About the Samurai RM.1

"Drake-In" Engine Break-In Service

The Samurai RM.1 is available with the same trusted oil bath break-in process used by top racers through Adam Drake’s proven engine break-in services. This precision process helps maximize engine performance, consistency, and longevity by preparing the internals with expert-level care.

Updated Internals for Maximum Performance

The RM.1 features upgraded internal components designed to provide a smoother power delivery and stronger overall performance throughout the RPM range.

Key improvements include:

• Steel backplate insert to reduce friction and wear
• Increased RPM capability
• More stable idle performance
• High-quality ceramic rear bearing
• 3-port ABC piston and cylinder design for increased torque throughout the power band
• Strengthened black-coated crankcase for improved durability

Updated Profile & External Design

The Samurai RM.1 features a lightweight blue anodized low-profile cooling head with laser-etched ProTek, Samurai, and RM logos. The low center-of-gravity design helps improve chassis stability and provides a more planted feel during aggressive racing conditions.

The CNC-machined cast aluminum crankcase provides increased strength and durability, allowing racers to push their vehicles harder without worrying about case damage.

Race-Ready Carburetor & Glow Plug Included

The Samurai RM.1 comes equipped with the proven Samurai RM 21j High Efficiency Carburetor and ProTek P3 Turbo Glow Plug, components trusted by competitive racers for consistent tuning, strong performance, and reliability.

Pair this engine with the ProTek R/C PTK-2090 Tuned Pipe with Manifold (sold separately) to achieve the complete race-winning exhaust setup.
