The legend of the strongest returns...
Javelin. It is a machine built to reach the pinnacle.

The concept is "a machine to reach the pinnacle"—. Developed to achieve the strongest combat power and highest reliability, the Javelin, a pure competition model of electric off-road car released in 1986, has been revived as the sixth installment of the Vintage Series after more than 30 years. At the time, Land Jump pioneered the 1/8 engine buggy world with its innovative aluminum pipe frame body and gained popularity, but the pipe frame, which is even more stylish and lightweight due to its resin construction, has evolved remarkably, and the double wishbone suspension, which was praised for its high level of perfection, as well as the narrow backbone type skid frame, wide steering angle with ideal geometry, and the 4WD chain system shielded in the compartment house, which is the Javelin's greatest feature, have all been reproduced exactly as they were back then. Of course, as with previous Vintage Series models, it has also been brushed up to be compatible with modern power sources. The gear system, which is the core of the drivetrain, uses a counter gear with a slipper function, and the rear differential case, which is integrated with the final gear and is subject to load, is made of metal to increase strength. The gear module employs a finer 48-pitch design, reducing drive loss, and the use of nylon and sintered alloy materials improves both drive efficiency and quiet operation. In addition to the chain drive system, you can now choose from a belt drive system, which was an option at the time. Furthermore, the aluminum dampers, which reproduce the design of the original, have been enlarged to increase their potential. Combined with the long-stroke suspension, this achieves high driving stability. Why not rediscover the joy of off-roading with the Javelin, where a nostalgic feel coexists with the same mechanisms as current models?

● While faithfully reproducing the original Javelin, various parts have been upgraded to accommodate modern power sources.
● The aluminum inner roll bar has been significantly upgraded in durability through a revised material and change in thickness.
● The new wing stay is also compatible with the Optima (some body cutting is required).
● The rear wing, which generates high downforce, has been changed to a style that is fixed to the chassis. The base part also uses insert nuts to ensure a stronger fixation.
● In addition to the pastel green and fluorescent yellow lineup of the body and wing from that time, a new white color will be released simultaneously as an option. Furthermore, red and black are also scheduled to be released (May 2018). ●
The aluminum plate in front of the roll bar has been changed from being fixed with nylon belts to being fixed with screws for a more stylish look.
● Simple yet highly rigid aluminum backbone type chassis.
● Two drive systems are available: the compartment 4WD chain system that took the world by storm, and the 4WD belt system that was later released as an option.
● FRP mechanical plate that can accommodate ESCs from various manufacturers.
● The wheels retain the stylish design of the time, but have been made into a one-piece design to achieve weight reduction.
● Uses 18 full ball bearings. (16 used for chain versions)
● Hex type screws are generally used for secure tightening and ease of use.
● Separate helmet and polycarbonate body are included.
● The battery stay, which is compatible with various current batteries, uses hook-and-loop fasteners (a battery strap with the KYOSHO logo is included) for easy battery attachment and removal.
● Equipped with a metal counter gear.

This roll cage-type body boasts high strength, combining a nylon pipe frame with an aluminum rooftop. Two types of bumpers are included: a large bumper that replicates the original design and a mini bumper suitable for racing.

A new wing stay is included, which is separate from the large wing and roll cage, and is made of reinforced nylon molded material. The large wing and its base parts can be easily attached and detached using body pins. Compatibility with the smaller wings of the Scorpion series has been ensured, allowing for the installation of those smaller wings as well.

The original 1986 model used a chain drive system, but the reissue includes two types of parts, allowing users to choose between the chain drive and the belt drive system, which was an optional extra at the time.

The gearbox is equipped with a slipper clutch to protect the drivetrain from sudden load changes, such as when landing from a jump. With simple adjustments, it can handle a variety of road conditions.

The main chassis, damper stays, and plates are made of 6061T6 aluminum alloy, which offers excellent strength and corrosion resistance. Consideration has also been given to flattening the surface using countersunk screws and reducing the number of nuts used through tapping.

The front and rear oil dampers, which use aluminum cylinders and stainless steel shafts, faithfully reproduce the design of the time, while increasing the outer diameter from φ10mm to φ12mm to enhance their potential.

This impact-resistant nylon double wishbone suspension system features reliable operation and a long stroke. Combined with a bored-out oil damper, it achieves exceptional driving stability.

The rear hub carrier allows you to select from three toe angles (0°, 1°, and 2°) by changing the resin bushings. The aluminum hexagonal wheel hubs have also been upgraded to a type that can be securely fixed with set screws.

The tires retain the original design while increasing the number of pins and revising the materials to ensure high grip. The wheels are also lightweight and feature a stylish chrome finish.
