EXPERTLY DESIGNED ERGONOMICS

Designed and ergonomically engineered by Mirco Pecorari from AircraftStudioDesign, the iX20 has been optimized to fit a wide range of pilot needs. Its Hall-effect sensing gimbals offer long-lasting precision with an ultra-smooth feel that's conveniently adjustable from the front of the transmitter. The result is a sense of style, comfort and functionality that perfectly complements the reliability, speed and precision of Spektrum^™ DSMX^® technology.

For serious pilots, the iX20 20-Channel Smart Radio Transmitter from Spektrum is designed to give you precise and extremely detailed control over some of the most complex remote aircraft on the market. The twin knurled gimbals feature a hall-effect sensor and quad bearings for smooth, long-lasting responsiveness. Programming and engaging craft functions can be done through the large 5" 720p Android 7-powered touchscreen, 10 mechanical/touch-sensitive toggle switches, and the l-switch button.

In addition to giving you advanced control of your aircraft, the iX20 also provides advanced information through smart technology. It can receive real-time telemetry data, such as battery voltage, motor temperature, and more. When received, the iX20 can convert the raw data into more easily readable graphs and gauges. From menus to settings to voice alert messages, the iX20 is also highly customizable to suit your specific piloting style and needs.

Ergonomic Design

Matching the smooth feel and detailed precision of the iX20 is a host of ergonomically engineered features that are made to make piloting more comfortable. Some key features include:

Touch Switching

The l-switch button and 10 toggle switches can be given programmed functions when mechanically thrown, but they also allow for separate functionality that engages with a simple touch. Even the gimbal sticks react to just your touch. You can use this technology to quickly turn timers on or off, activate programmed voice alerts, and more.

20 Channels

The iX20's programming and interface work to use simple language and logic to help you set up a variety of aircraft types. Custom tune and add features as you need, or use its X-Plus channel expansion ability to add up to eight additional channels with the optional X-Plus Channel Expansion Module (SPMXP8000).

Connectivity

The iX20 supports Wi-Fi connectivity for automatic Spektrum AirWare Touch app updates and downloadable model setups and third-party apps. It also supports Bluetooth technology for utilizing optional wireless headphones for voice alerts or listening to music. The iX20 also has a micro-USB port for charging its internal battery, linking to a PC, connecting flight controllers, and recognizing accessory devices.

Voice Recognition

The iX20 incorporates an Android-based speech-to-text function that lets you access and set up custom telemetry warnings, reports, and more by just using your voice.

Voice Alert System

Voice alerts let you keep your eye on piloting while still learning the flight mode you selected or telemetry information. Voice alerts can be set to be automatic or played on demand. The iX20 can even speak to you when an alarm goes off. Voice alerts can be created by just typing in the words. Voice alerts can be played via the internal speaker, built-in headphone jack, or with Bluetooth headphones for varying degrees of privacy and convenience.

Smart Technology and Telemetry

Using the voice alert system, the IX20 can tell you when specific telemetry values reach or exceed limits you define. You can also have it call out a sequence of telemetry values on demand with the flip of a switch. Telemetry dashboard pages and gauge panels can be customized and set to how you want to see the data, along with adjustable cell sizing and auto text size adjustments.

Menu Setup

Customize on-screen menus by adding or removing features as needed. An especially helpful ability to clean menus of options a particular receive may not support.

24 Program Mixes

The iX20 supports up to 24 program mixes. Each position selected gets its own curve for an increase in flexibility and power for complex mixes which can, in turn, reduce the overall number of mixes in your setup.

Forward Programming

Forward Programming is a Spektrum technology that enables you to configure smart receivers and related products wirelessly and directly from the transmitter. It uses the existing bidirectional communication link between a transmitter and receiver to do the same programming that might otherwise require a cable, Bluetooth dongle, PC, or smartphone. For added simplicity, the forward programming feature utilizes the Spektrum AirWare firmware language.

On-the-Fly Fine Tuning

On-the-Fly (OTF) lets you adjust mixes and other programmed values by using one of the four auxiliary trim controls. This gives you the ability to fine-tune features while flying.

Sharable Model Files

The iX20 is made to share model files seamlessly with "G2" Spektrum systems and other "iX" radios via an SD card or Bluetooth. Please note that the iX20 can import SPM and ISPM files, but it can only export models as ISPM files.

Multiple Antennas

To help ensure stable RF performance and reduced polarization regardless of transmitter orientation, Spektrum includes an external antenna and an internal antenna built into the handle of the iX20.

Built-In Camera

A built-in camera on the rear of the iX20 gives you the ability to snap still photos and videos.

Crossfire Module Support

A built-in auxiliary serial port can support optional accessories that give the iX20 an alternate RF system, such as those with TBS Crossfire CRSF. It lets you utilize these different protocols while still enjoying the low-latency performance.

Wireless Trainer Link

This feature lets you wirelessly link the iX20 to other Spektrum transmitters. If the link ever disengages after binding, Spektrum's ModelMatch technology relinks without the need of going through the binding process again. You gain the following abilities once connected:

Wirelessly "buddy box" with another DSMX/DSM2 transmitter to help teach someone how to pilot
Use the second controller as a gimbal operator when flying a camera drone as the primary controller pilots the craft
The second "controller" can be Spektrum's FPV headset, letting you wirelessly control head tracking
